THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 19 Oct 1944 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: "Mrs. J. L. Turner, 80, died Tuesday night at her home in the Post Oak Community , where she had lived the past 35 years. Mrs. Turner was a native of Georgia and was married to Rev. J. L. Turner, who survives her, 57 years ago. Seven children were born to them, 4 of whom are living: Mrs. Jim Lee and Mrs. Will Lee, Post Oak; Mrs. Ruffin McNabb, Clarksville and Berry Turner, Fort Worth. Services were conducted at the Post Oak Church with burial in the Post Oak Cemetery under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Home of Detroit."
