THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 23 May 1946 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: "L. T. Turner, 77, father of Mrs. Earl Pratt of Detroit, died at 5:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph Hospital in Paris, where he had been ill about a week. Services were conducted at the Baptist Church in Blossom Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock and burial was at Post Oak. He was a native of Missouri but had lived in the Post Oak Community for a number of years and retired from the farm a few years ago and spent a portion of his time with his daughter at Detroit. He leaves 4 children: Mrs. Earl Pratt, Detroit; Miss Virginia Turner, Blossom; F. N. Turner, Paris and H. R. Turner, Longview, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: W. T. Turner, Mariana, Ark.; M. E. Turner and Sion Turner, Sturgis, Miss.; E. E. Turner and Mrs. Bob Cartledge, Ackerman, Miss.; Mrs. Nannie Cartledge, Dallas; Mrs. Charles Cartledge, Lucedale, Miss.; Mrs. H. G. Hardin, Memphis, Tenn.; E. T. Turner, Louisville, Miss.; and B. H. Turner, Richton, Miss."
