| Notes Information submitted 7 Jul 1992, by Lenore Bland Brown [deceased]: born and died in the Minter community of Lamar County. Son of William and Mary Young Tubb. He married Fredonia Hefflefinger. Their children were (1) Cecil, buried in Arlington, Tarrant Co., TX., (2) Iris, (3) Mortimer, buried in Minter, and (4) Ulmer, buried in Minter. William B. Tubb was a carpenter and farmer. Information from J. P. Woodard, 220 Chateau Dr., Ft. Worth, TX, 76134, 26 Feb 1996: Married 3 Jan 1888 to Fredonia Hefflefinger, the daughter of William Crofford Hefflefinger and Margaret Jane Worthington Hefflefinger. His full name was William Buckingham 'Buck' Tubb. THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 16 Mar 1950 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: 'Paris -- W. B. Tubb, 90, was buried Tuesday in the Minter Cemetery. Tubb was born at Minter in 1859 and had lived there all his life. His wife died in 1947. Surviving are 2 sons, Iris Tubb, Minter, former Lamar County Tax Assessor, and C. R. Tubb, Dallas; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.' |
