THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 29 Mar 1931 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: "Mrs. Nannie Tomlinson, 88 of Blossom and pioneer resident of Lamar County died at Blossom Friday. Services were held Saturday with burial at Sylvan. She was the widow of the late Sid Tomlinson and celebrated her birthday recently. Born in Carthrage, Tenn. in 1841, she came to Texas in 1867 and had resided in Lamar County since. Survived by two sisters and a brother."

Information from Johnie Lee, Detroit, TX, 2 Feb 1996: Abstract of THE PARIS NEWS, dated 23 Mar 1929, Mrs. Nannie Tomlinson, age 88, died 22 Mar 1929 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lucy Johnson of Blossom... She was born 25 Feb 1841 in Carthage, TN and came to Texas in 1867 and lived in Lamar County ever since. Married in 1886 to S. H. Tomlinson, who died more than 25 years ago.
