THE PARIS NEWS Tue, Dec. 3?, 1946. 'Funeral services for T.E. Bryan of Pinhook community, Blossom, Rt. 2, were held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Springhill Cemetery chapel by Robert G. Cook, Church of Christ minister. Burial was made by Brown-Roden Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Van McDougal, O.M. McDougal, Charles England, Marvin England, Esker Moss and Tom Woodard. Mr. Bryan, a bachelor who lived alone, was found dead Monday at home, and U.S. Logue, justice of the peace who held the inquest, said death had occurred probably Thursday. Son of Robert and Sarah May Bryan, he was born Dec. 18, 1877, in Tarrant County. The survivors are a brother, Leander Bryan of Pinhook; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Woodard of Novice and Mrs. Eunice Moss of Paris.' Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home furnished correction of name and date of death-THE PARIS NEWS having the name as Bryant.

THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 5 Dec 1946 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: 'T. E. Bryan, 72, was found dead in bed at his home in the Pinhook Community Monday. He had not been seen since Thursday and Mrs. T. E. Baxter, a neighbor, went to see about him. The doors were locked and she looked through a window and saw the body on a bed. Other neighbors were summoned. Justice of the Peace U. S. Logue of Paris returned a verdict of death from natural causes. A light was seen on the house Friday night, however, the kerosene was burned dry and he may have died Thursday night. He was a bachelor and $145 was found on his person.'
