THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, 26 Jun 1945, page 8: “Mrs. John Blankenship, 77, passed away at home here Tuesday morning about 1:30 o’clock. She was formerly Miss Mary Katherine Price, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Price, and had lived here all her life. Funeral service Wednesday morning at 10:30 o’clock will be held in the Methodist Church here by the Rev. T. L. Darby, the pastor, and J. M. Grant, funeral director, will make interment in Deport Cemetery south of town.” Submitted by Kathy Leach.
THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 28 Jun 1945 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: “Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Epps of Irving were called to Deport this week to attend the funeral of Mrs. Epp’s mother, Mrs. John Blankenchip, 77, who died at her home there Tuesday morning about 1:30 o’clock. Services were held Wednesday morning.“
