THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 12 Feb 1948 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: "Jess O. Barnett, Blossom retired building contractor, died at the Paris Sanitarium Friday at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held at Blossom Sunday with burial at the Knights of Honor Cemetery. Mr. Barnett, a native of Lamar County is survived by 6 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 brothers."
