THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 25 Aug 1932 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: "Mrs. W. H. Barnard died at an early hour Thursday morning from complications due to her advanced age. Frances Clementine Davis was born in 1843 in Georgia and came to Texas in 1897. She was the wife of the late W. H. Barnard. She is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. J. T. Williams of Deport, 5 sons, George of Cuthand, Irby of Marshall, Dr. W. L. Barnard of Carrizo Springs, Charles and Mack of Deport."
