THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 2 Jun 1955 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: 'TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AT AVERY KILLS 3 -- A 1955 Ford was driven through a 40 foot house trailer on a curve half a mile west of Avery Sunday morning, killing one man instantly, another dying Sunday night, the third dying Monday and hospitalizing the fourth. The car with the four men it was traveling east and a truck pulling the new trailer house west. The car struck the side of the truck, then hit the corner of the trailer house and literally went through it, scattering the contents for 100 yards and ripping the house apart. The car jack-knifed across the highway. Both car and trailer house were completely demolished. The four men were from Paris, James Rudolph 'Cotton' Cook, 27, was killed instantly, Sgt. Bobby Gene Baker, 24, died Sunday night, Charles William Chidester, 29, died on Monday afternoon, Harry Gene Adams was hospitalized but not believed in a serious condition. The driver of the truck, Albert Delton Grayson received only minor injuries and the truck only small damage.'
