THE DETROIT NEWS-HERALD, 26 Jun 1930 from microfilm in Clarksville Library: 'Sam Black, painter, who lived in Paris, was killed at a park near Mt. Pleasant Saturday night. He was operating a concession at that place and Will Dickson, owner of park, was arrested and later released on bond.'
