THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, August 30, 2000, page 12: 'John Paul Ingram, 65, of Brackettville, formerly of Paris, died there Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Evergreen Cemetery with William Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home. Mr. Ingram was born Jan. 28, 1935, in Paris to Paul and Reva Mae Goodwin Ingram. He was a retired plumber and did various charity work for St. John's Baptist and Gateway Ministries. He was a member of East Paris Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, J. P. Ingram and Nicky Joe Ingram, both of Missouri; Mike Ray Ingram of Clearfield, Utah, and Bruce H. Ingram of Galveston; a daughter Abajo Ingram of Missouri; his mother who lives in Paris; brothers, Charles C. Ingram of Brackettville and Aubrey Earl Ingram of Paris; and sisters, Carrie Jane Brummett and Marie Elaine Stewart, both of Paris; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father in November 1984. Honorary bearers will be Mack Ross, Corky Basinger, Al Clark, Bobby Smallwood, George Shannon, and Robert Ballard. He was a loving son, wonderful father, and hero to many. Those wishing to do so may make donations to The Gateway Ministries at Brackettville, Texas 78832. All donations will go to feed and clothe the needy.'
