THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, July 16, 2000, page 4B: "Betty Sue (Liles) Butler, 59, born March 3, 1941 in Tyler, a resident of Biardstown and wife of R. O. Butler for 42 years, entered into the arms of our Lord Friday, July 14, 2000. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Shepherd’s Way United Pentecostal Church in Paris. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and flowers and was a talented artist who enjoyed nature’s beauty. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Royce Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Biardstown. The family will receive friends from 7-8 Monday at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband; three daughters and a son, Cathey Duke and husband Perry, Kenneth Butler and wife Jeanine, Tammy Butler, Donna Callicoat and husband Jason; grandchildren, Kaci, Mahalah, Jessica and Jenny; three brothers, Bill Liles of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Bobby Liles and wife Verdie of Monahans and Johnny Liles and wife Paula of Paris; three sisters, Tandolyn Mazy and husband James of Pattonville, Gerri Strickland of Monahans, Chris Bell and husband Herman of Monahans along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Zena Mae Liles; a sister and two brothers, Barbara Jean Liles and Howard Dean Liles, who were twins, and Ronald Wayne ‘Buddy’ Liles. Casketbearers will be Perry Duke, Paul Duke, Jason Callicoat, Michael Mazy, James Mazy, Shon Liles, Eddie Simmons and Tony Cunningham."
