THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, July 12, 2000, page 8: "John Lewis Branham, 29, of Borger died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital, Amarillo. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Myre officiating. Mr. Branham was born March 28, 1971, in Defiance, Ohio. He was reared in Blossom and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. He attended Prairiland schools and later attended the International Business School of Denton where he was trained as a computer consultant and earned a place on the Dean’s List. Surviving are his parents, James and Barbara Branham of Paris and Lorraine and Richard Schoenfeld of Philadelphia, Tenn.; two brothers, Jimmie Branham of Arlington and Jason Branham of Paris; a half-sister, Amy-Kathryn Branham of Reno; a half-brother, Tommy Schoenfeld of Philadelphia, Tenn.; two stepsisters, Theresa Grooms and Sherri McMikel of Paris; four stepbrothers, Jason Beyers and Lonnie McMikel of Paris, Tracy McMikel of Hawaii and Dennis Beyer of Dallas; and his former stepmother, Veronica Ballard of Reno."
