| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 6 Jun 1985. 'Mavis Hope Topping, 65, of Bogata, died Saturday, 1 Jun 1985. Funeral services were held Monday, 3 Jun, at First Baptist Church of Bogata with Rev. Bob Posey officiating. Burial was in Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. She was born 26 Feb 1920, in Tyler, a daughter of Ernest and Rena Drew Bement. She married Percy [H.] Topping on 28 Aug 1943, in Tyler. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bogata. Survivors include her husband; one son, Henry Dickerson of Hopewell; four sisters, Ernestine Smith and Mattie Bell Morrow, both of Tyler; Billie Joe Hunt, of Hardin; June Gibbs of Utah; four grandchildren and one great grandson.' |
