| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, April 6, 2000, page 8A: "CLARKSVILLE - Arlene H. Burks, 90, retired Blossom postmistress, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville. Clarksville Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Knights of Honor Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born Sept. 3, 1909, in Minter to Frank and Ella Montgomery Hart. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Buddy Parker of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Bobby Parker and wife Carol and Cheri Doyle and husband Curtis, all of Clarksville, and three great-grandchildren, Beau, Cole and Chet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Dale Burks, and a grandson, Michael Dale Parker." On the same stone with Gordon Dale Burks. |
