THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, March 3, 2000, page 12A: 'WHITE SETTLEMENT - Jeraldine Umboltz, 69, of White Settlement died, Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, in Crowley peacefully in her sleep after an eight months battle with cancer. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4 at Normandale Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park by Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church. She was born in Fannin County and had lived in White Settlement since 1956. She was supervisor/Training Table Athletic Department. She married Ernest Umboltz in 1959. Jerry was loved by many family members and friends. To her grandchildren, she was known as 'Nannie,' to her nieces and nephews, she was simply 'Aunt Jerry,' to her neighbors and friends, she was 'Ms. Jerry.' She loved to sew, crochet, and spend time with her family and numerous friends. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star of Honey Grove and a member of Normandale Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Jerry Dean, Alan and Kenny Umholtz; a brother, Leemon Cuttrell of Paris; sisters, Kathryn Carpenter of Fort Worth, Coma Funderburk of Bogata, Addie Wallace of Orange, and Allie Davis of Paris; a sister-in-law, Emogene Cuttrell of Tigertown; and grandchildren, Blair and Hillary Umholtz. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. W. 'Chick' Cuttrell and Ruth Stephens Cuttrell, brothers, W. D. 'Billy' Cuttrell, J. C. Cuttrell and Ike Cuttrell, and sisters, Bailey Ann Ray, Susie Hodnett, and Florence Bunch.'
