THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, December 20, 1999, page 4B: 'Alvin Wesley Bearskin, 80, of Paris died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Scott officiating. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, in Wyandotte Cemetery in Oklahoma with full military rites and the Rev. Rick Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at the family residence. Mr. Bearskin was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Wyandotte, Okla., to John W. and Myrtle Shaw Bearskin. He was a Baptist, a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict and was a retired aerospace engineer with NASA. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He married Mae Evelyn Wilson in Aug. 1946, in Atlas. Surviving are his wife; a brother, Leaford Bearskin of Wyandotte, Okla., and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Kay Bearskin.'
