THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, January 25, 1999, page 4B: 'HUGO, Okla. - John Robert Baskin, 64, of Fort Towson died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at First Baptist Church in Fort Towson with the Rev. Mutt Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery by Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Pearl; two sons, Johnny and Jerry Baskin, both of Fort Towson; a daughter, Kathy Gieger of Garland, Texas; three brothers, Dan Baskin of Sutherlin, Ore., Delbert Baskin of Roseburg, Ore., and Don Baskin of Antlers; two sisters, Dorothy Jackson of Sawyer and Ollie Hawkins of Apple; six granchildren; and three great-grandchildren.'
