| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, page 4B: 'HUGO, Okla. - J. D. Thomas, 75, of Grant died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Shoals Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Tarp and the Rev. Larry Fincher officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery by Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home. He was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Hugo to James and Bama Duncan Thomas. He had served in the Army Air Force and has been employed with the Grant school systems for many years. Surviving are his wife, Marie Davis Thomas; a daughter, Sharon Thomas of Tulsa; a sister, Inez Nation of Hugo; and two dear friends, Max and Quince Adkism.' |
