| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, page 4B: 'JACKSBORO - Gene Thompson, 57, of Jacksboro died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro with the Rev. B. J. Nunley officiating. Coker Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. He was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Honey Grove to William and Ethel Scott Thompson. He married Betty Auld April 11, 1976, in Jacksboro. He was a truck driver for BNM Trucking. Surviving are his wife; daughters, Cyndy Cross of Jacksboro and Cathy Haynes of Kansas City, Mo.; sons, Chris Thompson of Longview, Bryan Thompson and Colby Thompson, both of Jacksboro; brothers, Ellis Thompson of Honey Grove and Jack Thompson of Paris; sisters, Carolyn Dickins of Brashear and Willie Fay Banker of Honey Grove; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Bobby Thompson.' |
