| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, 23 Jul 1959. 'The funeral of Mrs. William Briscoe, 4225 Willow St., Dallas, the former Miss Lillie Mae Couch of Atlas community, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at a Church of Christ in Dallas, where Ed C. Smith Funeral Home will make burial. Mrs. Briscoe was dead on arrival at a Dallas hospital Thursday after a long illness. She was born at Atlas, 17 Nov 1889, daughter of the late Charlie T. and Amanda (Boone) Couch. She and Mr. Biscoe were married 2 Sep 1915. Besides her husband, she leaves these children; William C. Briscoe and Robert C. Briscoe, Greenville; Mrs. Thelma Carson in Calif.; Mrs. Oscar Martin, Paris, Rt.1; Mrs. Amanda Edney and Mrs. Maggie Bartlett; 22 other descendants; two step daughters, Mrs. Gladys Tutt, Longview, and Mrs. Maggie Owens, Corpus Christi, and two sisters, Mrs. Decy Hill, Mineral Wells and Mrs. Lettie Lindsley, Paris.' |
