| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 22 Jun 1989. 'Ruby Brackeen, 68, of Sherman, died at her home Monday, 12 Jun 1989. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, 15 Jun, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman with the Rev. Dennis Wilkinson officiating. Dannel Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brackeen was born 18 Jul 1920, in Paris, a daughter of Jess and Carrie Martha Parsons Herring. She was a graduate of Paris schools and was a Methodist. On 22 Apr 1939, she married Dentis R. Brackeen. They lived in Enid, Okla., for 43 years where she was part owner and employee of a photography studio for 25 years. She had lived in Sherman four years. Surviving are her husband; a son, Denny Brackeen of Gunter; two brothers, Bill Herring of Tanglewood Estates and Floyd Herring of Paris; and two grandchildren.' |
