| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, November 8, 1999, page 4B: 'COOPER - Alpha Killebrew Thomas, 89, of Cooper died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Birchwood Manor Nursing Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thomas was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Hopkins County to Arthur and Lillie Kirby Killebrew. She was a homemaker. She married J. D. Thomas March 17, 1937. He died Oct. 14, 1976. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbye and Danny Humphries of Yowell and Dannie and David Phillips of Cooper; sisters, Ruby Harlow of Stockton, Calif., Ivy Strong of Paris, and Addie Bell Owen of Orange; sisters-in-law. Gladys Carrell and Marge Eppers of Cooper; grandchildren and their spouses, Jake and Marie Humphries, Brad and Lyn Phillips, Kelli and John Jones, Chuck and Amy Phillips, Tory and Daidre Humphries, and Jennifer and D. J. Robertson; great-grandchildren; Chad Jones, Justin Shelby, Jonathan Jones, Brittney Humphries, Jacie Phillips, Trace Robertson, Lauren Humphries, Luke Phillips, Brazos Phillips, and Ryan Humphries. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Cade Humphries.' |
