THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, February 14, 1999, page 4B: 'COOPER - Mildred Inez Blackwood of Pecan Gap died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at the Birchwood Manor Nursing Home in Cooper. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Pecan Gap Cemetery with Dorothy Kramer and Floyd Woodard officiating. Burial is under direction of Delta Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 29, 1931, in Shamrock, Texas. She was a daughter of John Suttona and Merle (Gray) Sutton. She had lived in Pecan Gap all her life and was employed by American Wood. She was a member of Pecan Gap Pentecostal Church. She married Davis Blackwood Sr., May 17, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include sons, Davis Blackwood Jr. of Wisconsin and Bill Blackwood of Honey Grove; daughters, Reba Cardena of Honey Grove, Debbie Evans of Cooper and Penny Kervin of Commerce; sisters, Joyce Sallee of Ladonia, Wanda Sutton of Roanoke, Linda Cade of Commerce and Jimmy Sutton of Pecan Gap; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Autry and Alton Sutton and a sister, Dorothy Sutton.'
