THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, December 5, 1999, page 4B: 'David F. Taylor Sr., 87, of Paris died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home conducted graveside services at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at the Masonic Cemetery in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Chuck Huffman officiating. Mr. Taylor was born Aug. 31, 1912, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Kenneth and Carrie Muzzy Taylor. He married Laura E. Oliver Nov. 25, 1936, in Beaumont. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a graduate of Texas A&M College and was an electrical engineer. He was member of First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. Surviving are a son, David Taylor Jr. and wife Eileen of Paris; two daughters, Judy Jaciow and husband Ed of Santa Clara, Calif., and Dianne Clark and husband Duane of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Hunter Clark, Jason Taylor, Jill Taylor, Lori Dossa, Anna Taylor, and Brad Jaciow; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor Peters, Blake Jaciow, Chase Clark, Ryan Clark, and Spencer Clark. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura, Aug. 1, 1999.'
