THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, December 27, 1999, page 4B: 'DEPORT - Cletus Opal Thomas, 95, of Deport died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, in Deport Nursing Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, in Wood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glynn Renfro officiating. Burial will be in Detroit Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was born Aug. 13, 1904, in Oklahoma to Perry and Susan Francis Casey Luttrell. In 1922 she married Esker Lee Thomas in Detroit. He died in Dec. 1972. Mrs. Thomas was also preceded in death by two sons, John Thomas and L. C. Thomas; two daughters, Helen Little and Eva Mae Bryant; and three sisters, Maureen Bradley, Lorene Matthews, and Pearl Hamilton; and two brothers, L. D. Luttrell and Roy Luttrell. She is survived by two daughters, Fay Burns of Bogata and Norma Jean Isbell of DeKalb; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.'
