THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, October 5, 1999, page 8A: 'Linda Jewel Usery, 52, 414 E. Austin, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at her home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home conducted graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Lamar County Cemetery with the Rev. O. D. Robertson officiating. She was born Sept. 29, 1947, in McKinney to James J. and Faye Eloise Lawson Montgomery. She grew up in Blue Ridge, Collin County, and as an adult lived in Blue Ridge, McKinney, Littlefield, Garland, Rosenfield, Dallas, and Paris. She married Jody Usery in 1984. She was a member of the Church of God. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Jeremy Jerome Thompson of Dallas and Michael Keith Usery of Paris; two brothers, Johnny Montgomery of Paris and Jim Montgomery of Duncanville; two sisters, Faye Duncan of Fort Worth and Irene Worley of Lone Star; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joseph Edward, Ralph Avery and Dan Marvin Montgomery; and two sisters, Ethel Mae Montgomery and Mary Sue Fisher.'
