Tombstone is inscribed, 'J. M. Boone,' without any dates. Married Kinnie C. Williams. Information from David A. Boone, 30 Sep 1999, 1702 Prairie Star Lane, Round Rock, TX 78664, email - dgboon@aol.com: James Monroe Boone died on June 8, 1920 and was born November 10, 1849 in Washington County, Arkansas, the son of Daniel Thales Beya Boone (born Sept. 24, 1826 in Tennessee, died Aug. 28, 1910 in Austin, TX) and Anna Eliza Hayden Trammell. James Boone married (1) Clarinda C. (Kinnie) Williams on Oct. 31, 1872 in Lamar County, TX. Their children were: (1) Oscar D. Boone (born 29 Jul 1873, died 18 Sep 1873); (2) Nora Elizabeth Boone (born 15 Feb 1875, died 24 Dec 1875); (3) Marion Idella Boone (born 28 Dec 1876 in Sylvan, Lamar Co. TX, died 24 Jun 1950 in Blossom, Lamar Co., TX). Married (2) Ella Bray on March 22, 1885 in Lamar Co., TX. Their children were: (1) Raymond Boone (born 23 Dec 1885, died 7 Aug 1887); (2) Lela Boone (born 06 Oct 1888); (3) Charles Daniel Boone (born 21 May 1890, died 15 Aug 1893); (4) Lillie May Boone (born 5 Mar 1892); James Monroe was the brother of my great grandfather. He lived in Grayson County in 1899 according to Daniel Thales Boones' Confederate Pension application which James was a witness of. The tombstone of J. M Boone in Sylvan Cemetery has no dates, but says husband of Kinnie Williams, this is the same man. I got this information from his great grand-daughter Peggy Ables (ables@airmail.net).
