LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, November 25, 1982: 'Buena Burton of Parkview Nursing Home died at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at McCuistion Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Merieith Camp Ground Cemetery in Canton with Gene Roden's Sons, Directors of Funerals, in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Burton was born March 4, 1898, in Van Zandt County, Texas, a daughter of James and Elizabeth Mae Fugate Yancey. She was a Baptist. She married Claude Burton on July 13, 1946. He died Jan. 26, 1963. Surviving are two step-sons, Charles Leslie Burton of Direct and Donald Ray Burton of Mesquite; two stepdaughters, Doria Satcher of Paris and Helen Dove of Newark, Texas.'
