THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, July 9, 1970: 'Wayne E. Baker, 55, of 901 N. Main St., an independent cattle buyer and trucker, died Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. in Baylor Hospital at Dallas after several months illness. Born in Paris, March 16, 1915, Wayne Elton Baker was a son of John Lewis Baker, and the former Minnie Neal, now Mrs. Pete Brown here, and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.' On the same stone with Dorothy Rosson Baker.
