THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, February 2, 2000, page 8A: 'Bill E. Taylor, 63, of Powderly went to be with our Lord and Savior at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Long Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born May 15, 1936, in Paris to William O. and Clara Lambert Taylor. He served four years (1957-1961) in the U. S. Air Force including a one year tour in Iceland. He worked for Guest Paper Co. for 20 years as plant controller and then owned B&B Cabinets for 10 years until his health failed. He married Doris Jones Feb. 1, 1958, in Hugo Okla., and died on their 42nd wedding anniversary. He was a member of Powderly Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Doris; two beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Tony Reed and Debbie and Jeff McEntyre, all of Powderly; six very special and loved grandchildren, Billy Cook of the home, Chandi Clark, Colby and Garrett Reed, Heather and Meron McEntyre; one brother and sister-in-law, Odis and Jean Taylor of Powderly; two sisters, Opal Richardson and Christine Wood and husband Jim of Paris; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Dean Jones of Powderly; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Marion Fowler of Longview; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Our darling beloved 'Papaw' will always be remembered.'

On the same stone with wife, Doris Jones Taylor. Tombstone is inscribed, 'Billy Edward Taylor.'
