THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, June 9, 1999, page 4B: "DEPORT - Henry Hooker Bryant, 70, of Deport, died Monday, June 7, 1999, at his home. A memorial service will be held at Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Deport at 7 p.m. Friday, June 11. He was born May 29, 1929, in Shelby County, a son of Arthur and Nanny Ruth Bryant. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Jo Bryant in 1992. Mr. Bryant was a disabled veteran who served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a professional salesman many years and was retired. Survivors include daughters, Deborah Lynn and her husband Bob Meyer of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; Ruthie Dale Bryant of San Clemente, Calif; sons, Justin Hooker Bryant and wife Kathleen of Deport and Johnny Dean Anderson of Paris; his bird ‘Purty Boy,’ his grandchildren, Jacob Hooker Bryant, Sherri Lynn Taylor, Clint Bryant, Tonya Armentrout and many great grandchildren. He was a good father and friend. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Honorary pallbearers will be Ped Read, Joe Lee Davidson, Jacky Elmore, Deverl Elmore, Nolan Mitchell and Earl Gresham."
On the same stone with Ruby Jo Bryant. Also has a military marker inscribed, "US Navy - Korea."
