THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., May 20, 1996, p. 5A: "Edna Branum, 71, of Paris died at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 1996, in Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Lorenzo Johns and the Rev. Randall Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Branum was born Christmas Day 1924, in Roxton, a daughter of George Robert and Lillie R. Johnson Gentry. She attended Roxton schools and married Roscoe Branum Dec. 28, 1940, in Paris. She was retired from North American-Phillips Corp. where she was employed as a product inspector. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; one daughter and son-in-law, Anna Jo and James Martin of Paris; three grandchildren, Brad Martin of Denton, Amy Hines and her husband, Todd, of Paris and Katy Martin of Paris; two great-grandchildren, Kailey and Macy Hines of Paris; three sisters, Helen Morgan of Paris, Frances Gower of Dalhart and Melonese Bonner of Sylvan; four brothers, J. D. Gentry of Livingston, George Gentry Jr. of Garland, Billy Ray Gentry and Randell Gentry, both of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews."
