| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, May 7, 1999, page 4B: 'CLARKSVILLE - Aletha Presley Barton, 89, of Clarksville died Thursday, May 6, 1999, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital. Clarksville Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at English Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Miller officiating. The family will be at the Pam Russell home, No. 6 Hidden Lake, Powderly. She was born June 29, 1909, in English to William Gordon and Frances Walker Presley. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Paris. Surviving are a brother-in-law, R. A. Benningfield of Paris, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Waymon Barton, preceded her in death.' |
