LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Oct. 4, 1984: '... 455-10NW, services Oct. 3, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Felts and Rev. Terrell Hill. Born in Lamar County, a son of William Oaks Taylor and Clara Lambert Taylor. Married Helen Warren 12 Apr 1958. Member of Belmon Baptist Church and was a retired janitor at North Lamar School. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife; 3 sons, Glen Taylor and Michael Taylor of Paris, Nathan Taylor of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Clara Henderson of Paris; a stepson, James Moss of Paris; a stepdaughter, Teresha Moss Rogers of Paris; 4 brothers, J.T. Taylor of Mesquite, William O. Taylor and Billy Taylor of Powderly and Bud Taylor of Paris; 3 sisters, Quincy McCool and Christine Wood, both of Paris and Opal Faye Richardson of Taylortown; 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Taylor in June 1984.' Buried between Bonnie B. Wright and Linda Carol Ray Holt.
