THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, March 3, 1999, page 4B: ‘Mary Beamon, 102, 712-3rd NE, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, at Hospitality Church Of God In Christ with Elder Benjamin Nickerson officiating. Maxey Funeral Home will make burial in Fairland/Littlejohn Cemetery. She had worked at Flight Fifty Cafe and Kendall & Armstrong. She served on the usher board and choir member at Hospitality Church Of God In Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and six children. Surviving are a son, Leroy Beamon of Paris; daughters, Mary Ellis and Lorene Alexander of Paris and Odessa Hicks of Mansfield; 31 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; and 71 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Norl Ellis, Michael Smith, Jimmy Furtch Jr., Kenneth Norl Ellis, Clement Alexander and Charles Council.’
