THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, February 8, 1999, page 4B: 'HONEY GROVE - Theo Dean Bell, 80, of Honey Grove died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Howell officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and taught at Honey Grove High School for 10 years. Surviving are his wife, Marie; three sons, Elvin R. Bell of Paris, Eddie Bell of Bonham and Billy M. Bell of Honey Grove; two sisters, Bess Spelce of White Settlement and Myrl Newhouse of San Benito; two brothers, Clifford Bell of Creswell, Ore., and Bill Bell of Honey Grove; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.'

Mr. Bell was born July 15, 1919, in the Shiloh community to Oscar Clifford and Stella Jane Self Bell. He married Marie Collins April 10, 1940, in Honey Grove. He was a carpenter and member of Selfs Baptist Church. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II and taught in the Honey Grove ISD for 10 years. Surviving are his wife; a son, Eddie Bell of Bonham; sons and daughters-in-law, Elvin and Joan Bell of Paris and Billy and Patty Bell of Honey Grove; grandchildren, Mandy Greer, Brandon Bell, Stephanie Bell and Catharine Bell; great-grandchildren, Kastley Greer, Seth Greer and Madeline Greer; two sisters, Bess Spelce of White Settlement and Myrl Newhouse of San Benito; and two brothers, Clifford Bell of Creswell, Ore., and Bill Bell of Honey Grove. Pallbearers were Jim Siebenthal, Bob Milford, Buck Spelce, Jerry Bell, Shane Greer, Brandon Bell, George Stuart, and Charles Yarbrough.'
