THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, February 10, 1999, page 4B: 'James Carroll Ingram, 54, of Moorhead, Minn., formerly of Lamar County, died there Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Red Hill Cemetery with Kenneth Shirley officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He was born May 1, 1944, in Chicota to Lenward Marvin and Willie Loyce Paris Ingram. He attended Chicota schools and joined the Army, serving three tours of duty in Vietnam. He later became a truck driver which was his greatest joy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting, and fishing. Surviving are two sons, Willard Brian Ingram and Steven James Ingram, both of Hugo; a daughter, Lou Ann Motes of Hugo; three grandchildren, James Andrew Motes, Alisha Anne Motes, and Charla Jade Motes, all of Hugo; three brothers, Sam Ingram of Quinlan, Jack Ingram of Paris and Wayne Ingram of Novice; four sisters, Janie Medders of Paris, Willie Faye Johns of Chico, Winnie Whitson of Athens and Beulah Kohorst of Jonesboro, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lola Ramsey and Ida Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim West, Bo Diddley, Sam Ingram Jr., Frank Ingram, Jackie Ingram and Brad Johns.'
