Notes
Information submitted 24 Jun 1992, by Mary Posey Tallant, 3240 Robin Rd., Paris, TX 75460. From an undated-unnamed newspaper obituary clipping from 'The Paris Scrapbook' donated by Skipper Steely; 'Mrs. Angelina Ulrich, an old resident of Lamar county, who was eighty-three years of age, died at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the old home two miles east of Caviness. Her death was principally due to old age, but she had been sick a long time. She was the widow of Peter Ulrich, a native of Switzerland, who died many years ago. She was the eldest child of Uncle Jimmy Dodson, who came to Lamar county from Missouri before the Civil war and settled on Emberson prairie. She is survived by a son and three daughters. The only son, S. P. Ulrich, lives in Montana and is a Methodist preacher. One of the daughters, Mrs. R. E. Reed, lives at Hugo and the other two in Lamar county, Mrs. T. H. Cox of Springhill and Mrs. W. D. Brooks, who is living with her husband on the old homestead, and the deceased was making her home with them. The funeral service will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by Rev. Mr. Hudgins of Sumner, and the burial will be at the McEwin graveyard.' (A date of 9 Apr 1913 is written on the bottom of this obituary and if this is the date of the publication, then the death is 8 Apr 1913.)
