| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Dec. 15, 1994, p.14A. 'Donald R. Thompson, 70, Rt. 1, Paris, died at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, with Karl Jones officiating. The family will be at the residence. Mr. Thompson was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Mount Pleasant, a son of L.G. and Ruth Skidmore Stephenson Thompson. He attended schools in Paris and was of the Church of Christ faith. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 1983 after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Paris Elks Lodge. He first married Alma Jo Maroney who preceded him in death in 1985. He married Joy Smith in 1987 in Paris. Surviving are his wife; one son, Reggie Thompson of Burleson; three stepsons, Craig Taylor, Ken Taylor and Brett Taylor, all of Paris; two stepdaughters, Phyllis Guilliams of Little Rock, AR and Lisa Doyle of El Paso; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Bobbie Hulsey of Reno and Billie Kyker of Arleta, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Thompson, in 1976; a sister, Dorothy Kelly, in 1991, a grandson, Zachary Taylor in 1991 and a stepson, Dude St. Clair in 1992.' |
