THE PARIS NEWS, Saturday, September 18, 1982: 'Clyde L. Buels, 2331 Maple, died Thursday, Sept. 16, at his home. Services are pending with Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mr. Buels was born May 8, 1912, in Cooper, a son of Joe and Zora Robards Buels. He was married to Donnie Smith on Jan. 20, 1934, in Paris. He is a member of the Community Baptist Church and was retired from Campbell Soup Co. Surviving are his wife; two brothers, Lonnie Buels of Direct and James Buels of Norfolk, Va.; and five sisters, Ima Jean Offett of Mesquite, Polly Edwards of Fort Worth, Mrs. Grady Bryant of Arlington and June Fortner of Paris and Ruth Wright of Godley.'
