THE PARIS NEWS Thu., Jul. 29, 1993, p. 18A: "J.D. Burnett, 74, of Riverview, FL, died there Tuesday, July 27. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jay McCollum officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday and will be at the home of Reubin Burnett, 1520-20th NE. Mr. Burnett was born Nov. 18, 1918, a son of Noah and Mishie Harris Burnett. He married Geneva Smith May 20, 1944. He was retired from the Air Force and was a Baptist. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Nancy Dumke of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Michael and Lisa Dumke of Tampa; three sisters, Mildred Jenkins of Fort Towson, OK, Polly Lane of Euless, and Janie Hundt of Fort Worth; and a brother, Reubin Burnett of Paris. Pallbearers will be Donald Upchurch, Wayne Upchurch, Joe Upchurch, Richard Duncan, Ralph Lynch, and E. L. Meska."
On the same stone with Geneva K. Burnett. Also has military marker inscribed, "MSGT US Air Force - World War II - Korea."
