| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., May 31, 1998, p.4B: 'Margaret Charlene Brown, 74, of Hugo, OK, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 1, at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery of Arthur City under direction of Alberta Funeral Home assisted by Maxey Funeral Home. She was born Feb. 16, 1924, a daughter of Willie Marshall and Angie L. (Walton) Brown. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Brown of Oaklawn, CA, Howard Brown of Pittsburg, CA, and Thomas Gene Brown of Chicago; three daughters, Brenda Williams of Hugo, Carolyn Compont [sic] of Oakland and Gwendolyn Brown of San Francisco; a step-daughter, Ora Lee Henderson of Paris; two brothers, Matthew Brown of Arthur City and Frank Brown of Dallas; three sisters, Modesta Francis of Fort Worth, Sadie White of Arthur City and Gertrude Webb of Arthur City; 37 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She attended Arthur City schools and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.' |
