| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Tue., Aug. 25, 1998, p. 4B: 'Honey Grove - Virginia Bates, 83, of Honey Grove died Monday, Aug. 24, 1998, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center, Paris. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at McKenzie United Methodist Church with the Rev. Russ Noland officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery by Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Surviving are her husband, Aubrey; a son, Clarke Bates of Stillwater, OK; two brothers, Bobby Joe and Richard Clark of Lake Jackson; three grandsons Robert Bates of Brenham, Brent Bates of Paris and Keith Bates of Allen; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Stewart, Keith and Jimmy Bates, Sam Reece, Elmer Harrison and Draxton Darr. Memorials may be made to Bertha Voyer Memorial Library, Honey Grove.' |
