THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Aug. 24, 1998, p. 4B: 'Edward Lee Bean, 56, of Reno died Sunday morning at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Clarksville. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Bean was born March 2, 1942, in Clarksville to Cecil and Johnnie Lee Bean. He married Mary Margaret Somerville Aug. 31, 1963, in Dallas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville. Surviving are his wife; his mother, Johnnie Lee Bean of Clarksville; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Alice Bean of Powderly; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Scott Leonard of Powderly and Shannon and Brian Collard of Reno; seven grandchildren, Tera Askins, Ashleigh Bean, Michael Edward Bean, Matthew Leonard, Blake Leonard, Justin Collard and Riley Collard: a brother, Larry Bean of Clarksville; and an aunt, Vera Mae Wooley of Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his father. Pallbearers will be Joe Allred, Donny Erwin, Bobby Wooley, George Somerville, Billy Mitchell, and Danny Preas. Honorary bearers will be Greg Garrett, Bob Erwin and R. C. Wooley.'
