THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, August 21, 1957, p.2: “TEMPLETON RITES - The funeral of T. G. Templeton, 84, retired Blossom farmer, will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Gene Roden & Sons chapel by Leonard Coker and the Rev. J. L. (Bill) Wideman. Burial will be made in Meadowbrook Gardens. Mr. Templeton, born in South, Carolina, February 19, 1873, was a son of the late John and Henrietta (Jones) Templeton; His wife, Laura Lillian, died February 5 this year. His death occurred Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eddith D. Parsons at Belk, two others daughters surviving also, Mrs. Lela Townsend and Mrs. Stella Brookshire, both of Dallas, and seven other descendants, including three great-great-grandchildren.”

THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, August 25, 1957, p. 2: “TEMPLETON RITES. Pallbearers at the funeral of T. G. Templeton, 57, Blossom farmer were Kenneth Kennedy, Lester Wilson, Doak Young, Lawrance Miears, Joe Monk and Bill Baxter. Burial in Meadowbrook Gardens was made Thursday after service at Gene Roden & Sons chapel. Mr. Templeton died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Eddith D. Parsons at Belk.”
