Born in Ellis County, son of W. T. and Lois Fincher Basinger. Married Mary Ann Johnson. Veteran of the Korean war [Cpl. US Army]. Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Lois Basinger of Deport; a son, David Basinger of Pattonville; 2 daughters, Mrs. Coralea Stidham of Biardstown and Mrs. Vicki Neisler of Maxey; 3 brothers, Darol and James Basinger, both of Colorado Springs, CO. and Bryan Basinger of Paris; 4 grandchildren."
