Baxley; Charge to Harrison Mutual Burial Association; Order given by Martin; Place of death, North of Blossom; date of funeral 19 Nov 1906; date of death 18 Nov 1906; occupation, Farmer; married; Age 64 years; burial 'near Detroit'; casket size 5/9; hearse $20.00; Brosius $6.00; total cost $100.00.

Original record did not state cemetery. A tombstone was located in Red Oak Cemetery with name and dates indicated. Tombstone is inscribed 17 Nov 1906 as death date. Buried next to Eunice Rice.

Henrietta Baxley received a Texas Confederate Pension #31038 for service of her husband James Abbott Baxley. An abstract of the pension shows: applied 12 Mar 1915, approved 3 May 1915, lived in Blossom, he died 17 Nov 1906 in Lamar Co., they married 20 Nov 1865 in Saline Co. AR, her age 72 born in Benton Co., AL, lived in Blossom since 1894, he served in Co. B, 2nd or 1st Ark Infantry, Capt. Spruce, 1st Lt. Sanders. War dept. reply, 4 Feb 1915, Private in Co. B, 1st (Colquit's) AR Infantry, enlisted 15 Aug 1861 at Little Rock, AR, captured Dec. 16, 1864 at Nashville, TN, and was released at Camp Douglas, IL, 17 Jun 1865 on oath of allegiance. James J. and Tomas R. Spann, Lamar Co., 12 Mar 1915 deposed they knew her. Jim Spann, 12 Mar 1915, Lamar Co., deposes 'I served three months of the time with him, He was captured at Island No. 10. I was away on sick furlough at the time.'
