THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, October 22, 1998, page 4B: 'MARSHALL - Aylene 'Budgie' Tudor Bills, of Marshall died Sunday, Oct. 18, 1998, in Marshall Manor Nursing Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Colonial Gardens Cemetery with Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. David King will officiate. She was born Oct. 25, 1907, in Lamar County to Edgar Eugene and Junie Tudor. She attended Howland schools and East Texas Normal College. She married Joseph William Bills Sr. Dec. 9, 1935, in Paris. He died Aug. 28, 1988. She was a homemaker and was postmistress in Howland from 1927-1952. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marshall and its Extension Sunday School Department. She had taught Sunday school and had been an officer of the Women's Missionary Union. She was a former officer in the Harrison County A&M Club. She enjoyed reading, gardening and especially enjoyed attending special activities and sports at E.T.B.U. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Gene and Margaret Bills of Jacksonville and Joseph William Bills Jr. and wife Mary Katherine of Fresno, Calif.; five grandchildren, Angela Bills of Denton, Brad Bills of Austin, Suzanne Bills Bronson of Idaho Springs, Colo., David Bills of Austin and Alan Bills of St. Paul, Minn.; three sisters and their husbands, Lou and Leo Bailey of Kingsville, Ann and Van Scott of Pottsboro, Doris and David Sandsfur of Temple; a number of nieces and nephews, an aunt, Myrtie Roberts of Paris, and special friends, Myra McCoin of Paris, Rusty and Joy Howell of Marshall, Mary Ford of Marshall and David and Maxine King of Marshall. Memorials may be made to the J. W. Bills Property Endowment Fund at First Baptist Church of Marshall. Honorary bearers will be George Ross Jr., Dr. Roger R. Jones, Rusty Howell, Bob Duvall, Dr. Matthew Vierkant and friends and staff of Marshall Manor Nursing Home and friends and staff of Angeline House of Jacksonville.'
