THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, (Date of obituary not available.) 'Mrs. L.A. (May) Tolbert, 90, of 301 NE Fourth Street, Antlers, Okla., died Tuesday afternoon, 16 Jul 1974. She had moved to Antlers from Paris in 1970. Funeral services were held Friday morning in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Hall of Antlers and Lt. Col. Carl E. Tolbert, a grandson, officiating. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Tolbert was born 21 Apr 1884, in Garretts Bluff, a daughter of Joel and Jane (Holmes) Crain. She and Mr. Tolbert were married in 1899, his death occurring in 1952. She was an active member of First Baptist Church here until her health failed. She was a member of the Kendall Sunday School Class. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. J.A. Holt of Antlers; a brother, Frank R. Crain of Paris; four grandchildren, Mrs. Leonard Bryant of Lindsay, Okla., Dr. Allen Holt of Bethesda, Md., Lt. Col. Carl E. Tolbert of Indianapolis, Ind. and L.E. Tolbert of Longview; 10 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.' Additional information from Mayo D. Dancer, 225 Chateau Dr., Ft. Worth, TX., 76134-4604; married Luther Allen Tolbert. Sexton record had 14 Jul 1974 as interment date.
